We offer leading edge therapies in the field of mental health
Ketamine Therapy Can Help
Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) is a tremendous opportunity for profound and lasting change. It has helped many deal with treatment-resistant depression, PTSD, and bipolar depression. At CCPT, we do more than just administer ketamine, our team is trained to help patients navigate their new psychological experiences, maximizing comfort and efficacy. We believe it’s not just about taking the medicine, but how you work with the medicine.
What is Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy?
Ketamine-assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) has shown to be a rapid and effective way to treat treatment-resistant depression (link to papers or presentations?). Traditional antidepressants can take several weeks before any symptom relief is felt. Research has shown that about 50% of patients with treatment-resistant depression experience a reduction in symptoms after the 1st KAP session, and about 66% experience a reduction in symptoms after the 4th KAP session.
Aside from treatment-resistant depression, emerging clinical evidence also suggests that KAP can provide relief from symptoms for a variety of disorders, including bipolar depression, anxiety, and PTSD.
What makes CCPT the preferred choice? (change wording?)
We believe that treatment is more than just administration of medicine, and that the subjective experience that ketamine provides is not just a side effect but a major part of the healing process. This is why we pair our treatments with psychotherapy by a licensed psychotherapist. Our team includes leading researchers in the field of psychedelic-assisted psychotherapies that have specialized training and experience working with the non-ordinary states of consciousness that ketamine provides.
We will spend ample time with you before your first experience with ketamine to empower you with tools to take advantage of the psychoactive effects of ketamine. We will support you in utilizing the novel perspectives that it can offer to optimize your mental health
Co-founder Dr. Cole Marta has been providing KAP since he first started his private clinic in 2015, he is one of the first practitioners of KAP in the state of California. He has used his years of experience and his extensive review of scientific literature (link?) to develop a protocol designed to give patients the best chance to experience relief from their symptoms.
Our beautiful North Hollywood facility provides a tranquil context that allow you to ease into deep, lasting shifts in your psyche.
Our 90 minute KAP sessions include time with two experienced mental health professionals. A doctor is present to administer the medicine and to address any medical concerns, and a psychedelically-informed therapist is present to help patients prepare and integrate their experience.
By administering via intramuscular injection, we keep the cost of our treatments competitive compared to anesthesiologist administration methods, with no loss in efficacy.
We do not ask our patients to pre-pay or financially commit to our doctor’s recommended treatment plan.
Our office includes beautiful and calming indoor and outdoor spaces for you to relax before and after your appointments.
KAP is compatible with a wide range of medications and medical conditions.
The cost of therapy is $450 for an intake appointment and $500 for a KAP appointment.
