Cole J. Marta, M.D.
Co-Founder, Medical Director, Clinician
Dr. Marta completed undergraduate studies at UC – Santa Cruz majoring in molecular, cellular, and developmental biology where he graduated with highest honors in the major, with a focus on genetics. After graduating, he was a Junior Specialist in a Howard Hughes Medical Institute laboratory studying neurogenetics in the model organism C. Elegans. After time as an emergency medical technician and assistant in special education, he returned to scholarly pursuits and earned an MD from Chicago Medical School. He then went on to specialize in psychiatry, completing his residency at UCLA San Fernando Valley Veteran Association Psychiatry Training Program. While there, he focused on psychotherapy and psychopharmacology pertaining to mental illness. He also participated in cutting-edge research at UCLA related to mood, anxiety, substance use, and post-traumatic stress disorder. He has published peer-reviewed articles on advanced psychopharmacology and psychotherapy. He has also presented at conferences on the specific topics of the safety and efficacy of psychedelics in the context of both healing intent and abuse populations. Since graduating from psychiatric training, he has been involved in psychedelics research, harm reduction efforts, and increasingly in public speaking while maintaining his private practice in Southern California.

Brooke Balliett, LMFT, is a licensed marriage and family therapist (52456) and board registered psychological assistant (37481) in Los Angeles, CA. With over a decade of clinical experience in trauma, developmental and depth psychology, Brooke has a passion for treating psychological, spiritual, emotional and relationship challenges through the development of self-awareness, emotional intelligence and recognition of the healing power we each inherently hold inside of us. Brooke is a therapist on the Los Angeles MAPS clinical trial of MDMA-assisted psychotherapy for the treatment of PTSD; offers Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy and Jungian psychotherapy; and has provided direct service, supervision and training in harm reduction services at events worldwide with the Zendo Project, Kosmicare and RGX Medical. Additionally, she provides clinical supervision in depth psychotherapy, ketamine-assisted psychotherapy and psychedelic integration for early career psychotherapists.

Ashley Booth, ASW, MS
Ashley Booth, ASW, MS, is a associate social worker (90016) offering Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy, somatic and mindfulness-based psychotherapy, as well as psychedelic integration. She left a career in environmental research in 2016 to pursue her passion for psychedelic education, advocacy, and therapy. She brings a wealth of knowledge from being steeped in the world of psychedelic advocacy and education as the founder of the Southern California psychedelic society, the Aware Project: Rethinking Psychedelics since 2016 and as a psychedelic integration coach through the organization she co-founded, InnerSpace Integration. She gained additional experience working as psycho-spiritual retreat facilitator at the Crossroads Treatment Center in Mexico using ibogaine. She is also a co-therapist on the Los Angeles Phase III team for the MAPS-sponsored clinical trial of MDMA-assisted psychotherapy for the treatment of PTSD.
Jamie Carrafa has over seven years of insurance administration experience and has held roles as a medical claims adjuster, medical coding specialist, and processing trainer. Recently, she has changed her focus to medical practice management. She enjoys using her unique perspective and extensive corporate training to solve problems and streamline processes. As a lifelong lover of scholarly pursuits, she holds undergraduate degrees in both psychology and microbiology. Jamie enjoys supporting her fellow team members and clinic patients in this exciting time of emerging psychedelic therapies by making everyday logistics run smoothly.
